Tourist organization of Belgrade, Beomedia productions and TV station Studio B are starting a project of reality show about Belgrade Greeters.
Idea is to do a TV show, with two cameras, about the city, sightseeing with tourist attractions of Belgrade, and also socializing with the locals – Belgrade Greeters.
We’re inviting all people who are interested to visit Belgrade with booking a Belgrade Greeter , to contact us with a note in the reservation form, so that they could participate in shooting their own tour.
With participation in recording this show You’ll have an opportunity to present Your own city and also contribute to promotion of Belgrade and become famous in Belgrade and Serbia .
As a sign of gratitude Tourist organization of Belgrade will provide You 2 nights in one of the hotels in Belgrade for free; we’ll also send You a copy of DVD with the whole show which will be broadcasted on television and on the internet.

Belgrade Greeters is a great program if all the greeters are like Aleksandra Maksimova . The tour was tailored to our taste. Alex was patient with us and constantly checking to make sure we were ok. She was energetic, polite and full of knowledge. Alex was constantly apologizing for her English, but we found it perfect. It was getting... cool in the evening, she offered to take us to get jackets or borrow some from friends!! I knew little about Belgrade before. Now I know about Sarma, St. Sava, Knez Mihailova, the oldest building in Dorchol and much more. I even know a few phrases. Alex was kind enough to show us one of her favorite spots. Sinbol in Terazije Square. The environment was friendly, waiters were great and the drinks were good. Hvala lepo Belgrade Greeters & Александра Максимова. Zbogom for now to a welcoming place. Dovidjenja to my tour guide who has become my new international friend.

I would like to say thank you for our great trip around Belgrade with our greeter Dragana.
Dragana was charming and informative. She met us at our hotel, took us to the tourist office where we were able to pick up maps etc. and book a free tram trip round the city (which by the way was excellent). We went on a lovely walk in the snow through the Stari Grad to Kalamegdan and Belgrade Fortress. We popped into the Museum of Natural History, now showing an exhibition of the history of tea (great for us English tea drinkers). She took us to the charming ? kafana, where we enjoyed Turkish coffee. We finished with a tour of Princess Ljubica Konak.We had a really good time with Dragana, who gave her time freely, and it was an excellent introduction to Belgrade.
I will definitely recommend your lovely greeters to everyone visiting your interesting and friendly city.

We would like to thank you very much for arranging our tour with Milka and Sloba. We enjoyed it very, very much! Both of them were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. It is just awesome that they took so much time to show us around. Even we saw a lot of the famous Belgrade fog we liked it a lot :-) It was our first trip to Serbia and so we did not really know what to expect. We do know now! We all said that it is totally worth coming back and maybe we willl make it already this summer. Especially we would like to thank Milka who already arranged our New Years party in advance, that was so very nice! We already recommended traveling to Belgrade to many of our friends and for sure there will soon be some more Schwaben asking the Belgrade Greeters for a tour! Tank you very much for the great time!

Belgrade Greeters - “Tourist Flower”
Tourist Organization of Serbia has carried out the action for significant achievements in raising the quality of tourist services, as well as contribution to development, upgrade and promotion of tourism in Serbia, by the name of “Tourist Flower”, through which an award is given to most successful ones for the period July 2009 – July 2010, in 14 categories.
We are pleased to inform the public that on the final draft of the jury, executive board of Tourist Organization of Belgrade has decided to award Belgrade Greeters (Hosts of Belgrade) with “Tourist Flower” in the category “Innovations in tourism”.
Throughout last few months, Belgrade Greeters have done more than 60 tours with visitors from various parts of the world, such as Americas, Canada, Middle East and Europe, and had an opportunity to host relatively large number of journalist crews, who have made several movies about our country and Belgrade, and therefore, Belgrade Greeters have deserved the prestigious award given.
